Interfaith Volunteer Caregivers (IVC)

AgeWays, one of IVC’s biggest supporters, will be hosting an event on October 5th at the Suburban Collection showplace in Novi geared toward Caregivers! There will be multiple presentations and exhibitors related to Caregiving, including a table being hosted by Interfaith Volunteer Caregivers! Come on out to this wonderful event and feel free to share attached flier about the event with your community or anyone you think could benefit!

Another wonderful IVC group project! A few employees from a local business in Oakland County spent a few hours before the Labor Day weekend started helping a senior woman in Farmington Hills remove some fallen tree trunks in the river that were blocking the water flow, weeded and mowed her lawn, helped remove some tree stumps, and more! We are so grateful for companies who encourage their employees to volunteer at organizations like ours! Another beautiful day for some IVC Outreach! Our wonderful staff member Holly is out and about today representing IVC at the Oakland County Farmer's Market Senior Day! What a great way to get the word out about our volunteer opportunities! Stop by and say hello and spin the wheel at the IVC booth this Saturday at the Shelby Township Farmer's Market as well! We are so grateful for these opportunities!

HOLIDAY GIVING SPONSORSHIPS AND DONATIONS NEEDED! Each year, IVC strives to help brighten up the holidays for our homebound seniors and disabled adults we serve. Throughout the months of November & December, our volunteers deliver special holiday food items, hygiene products, and wrapped gifts to these people in need. We are beginning to collect donations of these items so that we are ready to serve in the holiday season. If you have food, hygiene products, or gifts that you can donate, please call our office at 586-757-5551! You can drop off donations at our office or we can arrange for a pick up. Please see list below for ideas of items needed (not limited to the below), and please share! If you are unable to donate items, please consider sponsoring our holiday giving with a monetary gift to help us purchase these items. This also makes a great group project if you know of any youth, church, service, or business groups looking to do a donation drive for this holiday season!
