The HARPA Concert Hall and Conference Centre in Reykjavík, Iceland, is a luminous sculpture that reflects the light of the city, ocean, and sky to captivating effects. Inside, the recital hall known as Noreurljós offers various possibilities for concerts, conferences, receptions and is ideal for intimate concerts such as sinfonietta, chamber groups, jazz bands, as well as other types of events. It is in this radiant space that an InterAmerica Stage, Inc. #SkyDeck tension wire grid system was installed covering a total area of approximately 297 square meters (3,200 square feet) to retain the unity of the overall design and concept of the building. We’re taking a #ThrowbackThursday trip to First Christian Church in Canton, OH, where the worship center is highlighted by a state-of-the-art, 2500-seat sanctuary and concert room built for a modern worship environment and concert production. Needing a technical design that could quickly turn the facility around for all staging, lighting, video, and sound production, the Platt Design Group enlisted the expertise of InterAmerica Stage, Inc. for a 2000 square-foot #SkyDeck tension wire grid system with 200-feet of catwalks and multiple 1000 lb load rigging points over the house and congregational seating areas. #IAStage #InterAmericaStage #FirstChristianChurch #IAStageSolutions #PlattDesignGroup #WorshipDesign
