Human Resources Recruiter Nohemy Vasquez was one of four Inteplast employees who spoke to the students at Calhoun High School, about 18 miles away from Lolita, and which is also her alma mater. Vasquez was invited to the school by Amy Boone, the Partners in Education coordinator for the?Calhoun County?Independent School District. Vasquez extended the invitation to colleagues?Human Resources Administrator?Caylie Garcia, IBS Mechanical Engineer Alex Dean, and Project Engineer Leo Plotini. “It was a pleasure returning to my old high school and informing Calhoun High School’s Engineering Essentials class on who we are and what we do. I also shared that we have six types of engineering jobs at our Lolita location alone,” said Vasquez. Garcia spoke to the class about Inteplast Group’s onboarding process, while Plotini and Dean shared insight on why they chose a career in engineering and their roles at Inteplast. Students received gift bags with branded T-shirts, sunglasses, and other items. High school is often over faster than students can comprehend, Vasquez explained. “We all shared our own advice on how important it is to stay focused on their career goals during their high school years, because college will be approaching fast,” said Vasquez.

HAPPY HOLIDAYS, FROM HUMAN RESOURCES IN TX! This year, we wanted to create a physical reminder of our shared sense of community and warmth. The holiday season is about connection, and even when we’re busy, it’s important to pause and celebrate the simple joys. We worked really hard as a team to try the In the Box photo shoot trend. With Henry Martinez’s expertise (he’s the?multimedia technician?in our Communications Department), here’s what we were able to create!?We hope that these displays of cheer will spark a sense of camaraderie and light for you in the days ahead. We challenge your department to take a creative group picture and share your holiday cheer as well. Maybe you can post the photo on your local ITV channel or send it to colleagues, family, or friends to pass along the joy. As always, thank you for your hard work, commitment, and the positive energy you bring to our workplace every day. Let’s take time this season to recharge, celebrate our wins, and continue building an even stronger team in the year to come. Wishing you all a peaceful, joyful, and restorative holiday season.

Texas Students Are Inspired by Inteplast at Workshop Written by Ayesha Gallion August 22, 2024 | Livingston, NJ Middle Schoolers in Texas were inspired to learn more about manufacturing at Inteplast Group, thanks to Nohemy Vasquez and Caylie Garcia, of our Human Resources Department. Region 3 Educational Service Center held its YOUth LEADership Conference – Jackson County on July 29-August 1, where students participated in team-building workshops, heard keynote speakers, and engaged in hand-on learning experiences. The conference, attended by Vasquez and Garcia, was held at Edna Junior High. Inteplast Group sponsored lunch and gifted the students with T-shirts on the fourth day of the conference, which was also the same day that Vasquez and Garcia gave a presentation on Inteplast Group employment opportunities during the Career Meet-N-Greet workshop. “They all showed interest in touring our facilities,” said Vasquez, who added that she will be setting up tours to welcome students to the Lolita site in the future.
