?? Thinking back on March... ?? Picture it: The day before International Women's Day an event was held at the link about how some local entrepreneurs exited their tech companies. However, none of them were women. Unfortunately, this is common. The stats tell us that less than 2% of VC funding goes to women founders. In business across the board, only 10% of women-led businesses reach 6-figures, while only 2% reach 7-figures. Even in entrepreneurship, a wage gap persists. ?? This is why we shifted our focus to women business owners. Women simply are not making the money that men are. In part, it is due to lack of access but also because women simply are not beginning with the end in mind. Scaling to an exit will do more for women to benefit their families, their communities and themselves than anything they are doing right now. ?? We promote and encourage treating a business as an asset, scaling toward a profitable exit at best and decreased day-to-day involvement at worst.
