The opening will happen on October 4th at Gallery Guichard, a Black-owned space in the historic Bronzeville community on the South side of Chicago. This immersive public art activation will explore a future where reparations are real, and our media and technology system are grounded in the truth of Black self-love. The 2024 Constellations Folk Arts & Cultural Stewardship Grants are one-year, flexible, general operating support regrants for California-based organizations that work at the intersection of arts, culture, and social justice, and whose work on cultural and narrative power building is rooted in and in alignment with ancestral, Indigenous and traditional knowledge, values and practices.
