??? Witness?mitosis in action - at super high-spatiotemporal resolution!???? This?live-cell imaging?movie captures an?RPE-1 cell undergoing mitosis, acquired using?Lattice Light-Sheet Microscopy?at the?University of Warwick. This technique provides an?unprecedented level of detail, allowing us to visualise chromosome dynamics with exceptional clarity. In this video: ??NDC80, a key kinetochore protein, is in?white ???DNA?is labeled in?magenta ?? ?Microtubules (tubulin)?are in?green This high-resolution imaging allows us to dissect the?intricate choreography of chromosome segregation, a fundamental process ensuring accurate cell division. Understanding these dynamics is crucial for uncovering the mechanisms behind?genome stability and diseases like cancer. This work comes from Andrew McAinsh's lab, where I have the opportunity to capture and analyse these beautiful mitotic events. For this #3DThursday, we got to participate in the 2025 Harvard Tissue Clearing Workshop! ?? This is a mouse embryo prepared by Dharmendra Puri from Elizabeth Engle MD's lab and imaged on a 3i - Intelligent Imaging Innovations Light Sheet Fluorescent Microscope run by Daniel Giardina & Edward Lachica, rendered and visualized in syGlass.io. This sample is about 30GB of data, imaged using three different excitation wavelengths (488, 561, 640 nm) to visualize different structures in the sample at a 2 μm resolution per voxel. The students did an amazing job!
