"My name is (JR), and in just a couple more weeks, it'll mark the beginning of 5 months that I've been living at the Integrity Sober House in East Falmouth, MA. ?Having been in more than 7 sober houses from Massachusetts to California and back in a span of 2 years, I think it's fair to say I know what constitutes a good sober house from a run-of-the-mill, cash-siphoning, very little to absolutely no care for one's well-being sober house, and trust me when I say I've been in all of the above... All except the one I have yet to describe. Ya see, the Integrity Sober House fails to fit any of the descriptions above: It's not run-of-the-mill; it definitely?is not a cash-siphoning sober house; and to be 100% honest, it's not even a good sober house! The Integrity Sober House is the absolute best sober house I've been to yet, and thus, the reason it's the one I've lived in the longest! The difference between The Integrity Sober House and all the others has to do with the personal touch that the owners of the home add, and yes, it is a home! The McGonigles make it a point to make personal visits to our home to check in to see what's needed and to drop off food, utensils, etc.; the basic supplies are on auto-ship so we're never out of the bare necessities. Sometimes, they'll stop by just to hang out and stay for a while, "chop it up" with us, and make sure the house is running smoothly! ?Lest I fail to mention, when I say the McGonigles, I don't just mean the husband and wife... There are times when they show up with The Whole Family! Their two children (Zachary and Abigail) are absolute sweethearts! They'll come in and hang out with some of the guys they've known the longest, and it's as if they're coming to see their uncles or something! Not to mention, the paternal & maternal parents of the owners have stopped by, sent desserts, food, etc.?etc! I can imagine it would be difficult to comprehend the significance of all I just mentioned to someone on the outside looking in, so allow me to explain. ?By the Mcgonigles being so involved as they are, the subliminal message that it sends is: 'I'm not in this just for your money... I really care for your well-being and sobriety!' When that message is received intuitively, it warms the heart and makes us residents feel seen as a person first and not just a cash cow. However, adding in the extra layers by surrounding us with their own family, the subliminal message says: 'I don't judge you for where you've been or what you've done!' When received intuitively, it not only warms the heart but also touches the soul in a way most people who need to be here haven't been touched in what could seem like an eternity for some of us! And that, folks, is how you go from a good sober house to a Great Sober Home! I couldn't have landed in a better place to prepare myself for reintegration into society and I am eternally thankful for The McGonigles and this home! Gratefully, James R.

Our Monthly Sound Healing Meditations ???? At Integrity Sober Living, we are proud to host professional, in-house sound healing sessions every month. These sessions are led by experienced sound healer Amanda Willis of Sakura Sound and Reiki, who brings a variety of instruments, including crystal singing bowls, Himalayan bowls, and chimes. Imagine a soothing space filled with warm vibrations—each note designed to center your mind and heal your spirit. The feedback we’ve received from our residents has been overwhelmingly positive. Many describe feeling lighter, more grounded, and better equipped to handle challenges after each of Amanda's healing sessions. At Integrity, we have the distinct pleasure of watching as these men rebuild their lives in recovery. We've seen families healed and unified, men become employable and empowered, but above all else - we've seen the transformation of recovery in these individuals, their constant pursuit of wellness and personal accountability. Goodney the Good Elf has been hard at work over at Integrity, reporting back to Ol' Saint Nick about who's on the nice list this year. ??(Plot twist - all of our residents are on the nice list... so long as they keep making their beds. ??)

Yesterday, Integrity Sober Living was happy to host @the_saving_light for a house clearing! ???? House clearings are a way to clear away negative or low vibrational energy from a space. ?? This excerpt from Justin of The Saving Light highlights the house clearing process used at Integrity: "Before I clear a house, I like to go and read the energy outside and inside of the property. It's very important to have a relationship within the land you are living on - as it is part of you and you are a part of the land. After I assess the energy, I use my tools such as: Cedar Smudging, Energetic Grids, hands and drums to clear any stagnant or low vibrational energy. Lastly, I go outside and clear the land to give a blessing. After each session, I like to sit with my clients and explain my findings. Today we had a great talk in the common room with some of the men, and had an open heart conversation of what I felt within them and the house. So honored and proud of these strong men to open themselves up so they are ready to shine." As always, we are deeply honored and grateful to Justin for sharing his gifts, wisdom and energies with us - so that we may create a safe, supportive and healing environment for all.

This week, we hosted Justin Gagne of The Saving Light for an evening of community and connection. This "Brotherhood of Light" men's healing circle focuses on self-love, and the relationship with self and others. We believe in bringing healing services to our residents and meeting them where they're at, and we're so grateful to our friends in the community who come together to help us fulfill our mission and create a healing space for all who enter. We are so grateful to Justin & The Saving Light for helping to foster an environment of love, openness and understanding, and look forward to welcoming him to Integrity on a recurring basis!
