We are honored to announce that Dr Shiksha Gallow will be a keynote speaker at the 2024 East African Congress on Integrative Medicine and Health. A global pioneer in the medical cannabis industry, Dr. Gallow serves as the Medical Director of the Holistic Integrative Healing Institute and led the first medical cannabis study in South Africa. With a remarkable academic background, including degrees in Bio Medicine, Clinical Pathology, Public Health Medicine, an MBA, and two PhDs, Dr. Gallow is currently completing her third PhD in medical cannabinoid research. She is a neuroscientist, registered ethno-medical practitioner, and international author of five books. Dr. Gallow is also a dedicated advocate for women's empowerment through her non-profit, Power in Pink. DR. Jacqueline Mwanu, is a seasoned functional medicine specialist and public health physician with extensive international training. Graduating from the University of Nairobi and obtaining her master's in public health from the University of Liverpool, she specializes in integrative medicine from the UK's National Centre of Integrative Medicine. Driven by personal experiences with childhood cancer and chronic illness, Dr. Wothaya focuses on identifying and addressing root causes to enhance patient wellness. She is committed to advancing public health through research and policy, particularly in underserved communities, while empowering individuals through healthcare education and disease management. Dr. Wothaya will be coaching at the 2024 East Africa Congress on Integrative Medicine and Health, where she will share her expertise to foster improved healthcare practices and patient outcomes in the region.
