An important topic and critical that employers consider the employee experience on Leave, while also staying compliant with regulations. Amanda Calhoun thanks for highlighting this opportunity.
Join Mercer experts for a webinar around managing disability and state leave administration! According to Mercer’s 2024 Absence and Disability Management Survey, about two-thirds of employers report that the top priority for their absence program is improving leave administration. The combination of expanded employer leave programs and the increase in state and local paid leave mandates has stretched current leave administration solutions to a breaking point. It’s no surprise that leave administration has risen to be one of the top sources of employee complaints and that employers are exploring alternative options.?

I had the privilege of presenting at the Health Enhancement Research Organization (HERO) 2025 Winter Think Tank on “Women’s Health & Well-Being: Employers’ Role in Building Awareness and Equity.†This session was a powerful discussion on how innovative benefit design can transform workplace outcomes—boosting retention, productivity, and overall well-being for women in the workforce. My presentation was based on my research conducted at Integrated Benefits Institute where we examined how women’s health benefits—ranging from maternity care and mental health support to reproductive and preventive care—impact employee retention, productivity, and overall well-being. Key Takeaways from My Session: ? Women’s Health Benefits Matter – Programs like maternity care, mental health support, and preventive care have a direct impact on absenteeism and productivity. ? Access & Awareness Are Critical – Many employees are unaware of the full scope of benefits available to them, highlighting the need for better communication strategies. ? Digital Health Solutions Are Game-Changers – Employees with easy access to digital health resources report fewer absences and improved work performance. ? Employers Have a Key Role – By proactively communicating and equipping employees with equitable health benefits, organizations can foster healthier, more engaged workplaces. It’s clear that closing the gap in women’s health benefits is not just about well-being—it’s about building a stronger, more inclusive workforce. It was great to engage in thoughtful discussions with experts, employers, and industry leaders who are committed to improving women’s health in the workplace. Let’s continue the conversation and push for policies that empower women to thrive at work and beyond. #HEROWinterThinkTank #IBIResearch #WomensHealth #WorkplaceWellbeing #EmployeeBenefits #EquityAtWork

IBI has published its 2024 year-in-review, highlighting groundbreaking research on employee well-being, workplace flexibility, healthcare access, and more. Our findings reveal critical trends shaping the future of work: - Workplace mental health costs $1,488 per employee yearly, but hybrid work reduces anxiety and depression risk by 27%. - Employers face challenges integrating GLP-1s and Cell/Gene Therapies due to cost, culture, and knowledge gaps. - Financial strain delays care, with six missed workdays costing $1,378 for bachelor’s degree holders and $699 for high school graduates, totaling $26 million in lost wages. - Only 49.8% of employees know their wellness benefits, and 60.9% cite time constraints. Flexible scheduling improves engagement. Read the full report here: https://lnkd.in/eQD_s6qw #WorkplaceWellness #EmployeeHealth #FutureOfWork
