Our CEO John Conafay spoke with Garrett Reim of Aviation Week Network at Small Satellite Conference (SmallSat). Some of our favorite bits: "All the software out there is insular to the four walls of your organization," Conafay told [us] in August. Citing programs like Jira that help manage writing software code, he noted, "You don't have the ability to collaborate with external stakeholders." Integrate's solution for that was an online portal that allows vendors and customers to update each other regularly on a project's progress. "This external-internal collaborative feature means that you have substantially more accountability thrust on you," Conafay said, pointing out that shared documentation eliminates slower forms of communication: "We've had some customers knock out 20 [hours] of customer meetings a week." And, of course, there is always the pesky problem of reaching space. "It's such a high-risk endeavor," [Conafay] remarked. "You see a lot of companies coming out of the industry and saying, 'OK, we need a better way to do this.""?

Meet Andrew Sloan, our VP of Product! What's the career you had prior to Integrate most unlike this one? "I was a snorkeling instructor in the Florida Keys." What do you think led you most to where you are now and why you wanted to join Integrate? "Being embedded with teams throughout the space industry that were actively trying to find or create internal solutions to the problems Integrate now solves WHILE ALSO building satellites, and realizing how badly they needed help." How has this given you perspective while building Integrate? "It taught me that educating your customers is the key to success. You can’t just shove someone in the water and tell them to snorkel, you have to teach them how to do it properly so they get the most out of the experience. It’s the same with Integrate; we have to show our users how much better modern collaboration can actually be, so they can feel it for themselves and then run with it."

Meet our head of operations, Holly Fox! What's the career you had prior to Integrate most unlike this one? "After I graduated from college with a degree in PR and experience as the editor of my college newspaper, I was news editor of a small weekly newspaper in a tiny Texas town. I covered city council meetings, the police scanner, weekly features, obituaries and everything in between! I had my own column in the opinion page! I didn’t offer my sage wisdom about politics or delve into the deepest mysteries of life. I wrote about me - about the time I was chased by a bull in the mountains of Torino, Italy; about how I got really cold all the time; and whatever else was on my 22-year-old brain. And people responded. They read them and called to tell me how it resonated with them. I was with the newspaper for a couple of years before I finally got my break with a PR agency." How has this given you perspective while building Integrate? "My experience in journalism and communications has revealed a universal truth: people want to be heard. They want to know that you’re listening to understand, not just to respond. This principle applies to every interaction, whether professional or personal. At Integrate, I strive to embody this approach with teammates, customers, board members, and vendors alike. By adopting this mindset, every interaction has the potential to be transformed, leading to far more meaningful conversations and significantly better outcomes." What do you think led you most to where you are now and why you wanted to join Integrate? "After taking a break from my career to be a stay-at-home mom, I was eager to re-enter the workforce with a role that was both meaningful and surrounded by an exceptional team. Over the past few years, I’ve had the privilege of collaborating with startups, entrepreneurs, and non-profits, which deepened my passion for impactful work. When I met John and Andrew to explore opportunities at Integrate, I was immediately captivated by their enthusiasm, passion, and commitment to their vision. It was an easy decision to join the team. Since then, I’ve been fortunate to experience tremendous growth, continuously learning and expanding my role." What’s your favorite Integrate feature? "My favorite feature is how program managers can effortlessly share all or select parts of their projects with team members, vendors, and customers, ensuring everyone has access to the critical information they need. When a vendor updates a status—like notifying that a part is back-ordered—it’s instantly reflected in the system, allowing the program manager to see the impact on milestones, dependencies, and deadlines in real-time. This streamlined approach eliminates the chaos of messy email threads, eliminates the hassle of sifting through spreadsheets, and ends the need to update multiple documents."

Empower your team to connect seamlessly with external stakeholders, vendors, and customers. ?? We make it incredibly easy to securely share specific parts of your program’s timeline, like tasks, requirements, and milestones. You control what others see, ensuring your full program remains secure while enabling effortless collaboration on select areas. Precision sharing in our platform is simple, and you don’t need to reveal everything; share only the specific parts of your schedule, key details, or crucial data that your external collaborators need, while keeping the rest private. To further simplify sharing, internal items in your account are displayed in purple, while external objects owned by others are marked in green—making it easy to differentiate at a glance.
