Blazing new trails with Allison, Founder of DragonScript “Forged with Fire”. INTech Summer Camp: Build Your Own Tech Startup was a blast! Last week, Allison developed her very own business called DragonScript. Here’s a word from our Founder: "Hi, my name is Allison and I am the CEO and founder of a gaming dev studio DragonScript. My mission in creating this business was to include more women and cultural voices from many different backgrounds in video gaming due to it commonly being overlooked. We feel that everybody can be a gamer and diversity and inclusion is important in gaming!"-ALLISON INTech has invested $225 into DragonScript’s research and development efforts. We’re also assisting our newest Founder with registering her business in NC!

Meet Aaliyah, Founder of Slime Queens “Where the Slime is Divine”! ???? INTech Summer Camp: Build Your Own Tech Startup was a blast! Last week, scholars worked on creating a business using emerging technologies like Generative AI. Aaliyah sharpened her prompt-engineering skills by creating a no-code app using Replit for Slime Queens. Her Eco-friendly Slime Maker App helps youth create SQ-approved slime at home using eco-friendly materials. She created a website and made a business plan. As part of completing the camp, Aaliyah receives a $225 investment into Slime Queens and help registering her business in NC. We’re so proud of you Aaliyah! Intergenerational learning is key! ?? In Summer 2023, INTech Alumna and Youth Tech Instructor Nicole E. joined forces with our Executive Director and our friends at Method to create INTech’s first project-based mentorship program. Almost a year later, we've launched our third iteration of our program! We want to shout out #1 mentor-mentee team Raven and Ms.Cole. Raven has attended over 90% of her sessions with her mentor. Using her own UX research, Raven has created an idea for an app that will help young aspiring digital print-makers and teen artists create their own fonts while having fun! Go Team Raven-Cole! INTech's board is absolutely amazing! ?? Meet Allen D! He's been serving on INTech's board since August 2022. He loves recreational activities, is an absolute foodie, and is a Dad to boot! His strategic leadership has helped us invest in our youth by directing resources like laptops or tablets for their forever learning. Our goal is to provide a tool for our youth and their families to gain access to potential wealth-building opportunities after our scholars graduate from INTech's programming. "As a Senior Program Manager at Road to Hire, I have over fifteen years of experience in creating and leading programs that provide generational wealth-building opportunities for under-resourced youth. I am passionate about designing and delivering innovative solutions that increase the program scope, impact, and quality, while managing and allocating financial resources, facilitating stakeholder relations, and mentoring and coaching teams to meet goals and targets. She's even figured out how to teach basic engineering principles like iteration, efficiency, velocity, reliability and more through the art of Dance and Choreography! She's played a crucial role in refining INTech's operations. She's helping us ensure that our operational policies and procedures for volunteers, staff, and leadership are strategically developed, aligned with our mission, and fosters a fun and effortless experience for everyone!
