This summer Jack Proctor interned with AgTrust Farm Credit. He started his internship on the credit side and spent 4 weeks moving from branches working with different credit analyst. While on the credit side he learned to read customer’s financial statements. After the credit side, he moved to lending where he learned the importance of striving to provide the best customer service possible and most importantly how to build relationships and honestly seek to help people. He was also able to go on inspections, tours, and appraisals. One tour was to Greener Pasture Chicken, an organic chicken farm, owned by an former student and two-time super bowl champion Von Miller. Jack shares, "All along the way every employee never hesitated to take time out of their day to help me learn. I will forever be grateful to AgTrust Farm Credit for allowing me this opportunity and to Texas A&M for helping prepare me." Texas A&M University Texas A&M College of Agriculture and Life Sciences

Study Abroad in France! Students stayed with host families in Angers, France and were served homemade French food for every breakfast and dinner. Half the class time was immersive French language, and the other half was about terroir and the foodways and traditions (food identity) of France, along with cultural aspects. Students visited about a dozen producers including salt, sheep, wine and cheese producers. TAMU students also went to visit the Normandy WWII landing beaches and happened to be there during the extremely touching funeral of a recently identified US soldier: https://lnkd.in/ga_F_Vri Texas A&M University Texas A&M College of Agriculture and Life Sciences
