"Tech is over glorified in our industry. Tech is very important. Yes, that's why we're able to move fast. But first is culture. Build the right culture, get the right people, and then comes tech." –Rohit Nambiar, Group Chief Executive Officer, Tune Protect Read Tune Protect's story, and those of 7 others in the latest entry in The Future of Insurance series: "The Future of Insurance, Volume IV. Helping the Insurance industry evolve rather than be disrupted.
关于我们
Insurance Evolution Partners was formed by industry veterans with a core belief that, despite all the headwinds we perceive, the insurance industry can evolve how we deliver insurance products and services rather than being disrupted. For centuries, the Insurance industry has stood by people at their toughest moments and allowed them to go about their business without having to worry about risk. No one is better positioned to take advantage of the flexible, modern tools coming from the new generation of InsurTech providers to meet customer experience expectations now and into the future.

Looking at successful solutions in one market can be insightful, but we should not just presume we can copy and paste from one marketing into another. This is true moving across continents, but even within them. Taking a successful product from Kenya and pasting it into Nigeria may not work since the people are different with different cultures and values. Instead, look for the dynamics and aspects that lead to success in the original market, and see how to use those insights to create something successful in the next market. "...because of the frequency of the data, you learn very quickly. You learn rapidly how your algorithm needs to be repriced, and, within a very short timeframe, you could price it up to a point where it is very accurate and sustainable." –Harshet Lunani, Co-Founder, Qoala Read Qoala's story, and those of 7 others in the latest entry in The Future of Insurance series: "The Future of Insurance, Volume IV. How is Kin different in the saturated, mature Homeowners market? They’re direct to consumer, giving them a cost advantage over most Homeowners carriers; they’re extremely high tech from the ground up (and all that enables) rather than having smart people constrained by tech; and they have a rare financial structure as a reciprocal, which gives them an ability to more closely align incentives between their bottom line and their insured’s needs at the time of a claim. "While the differing mindsets of many incumbents & startups may make it challenging to come together, this is also where the greatest opportunity lies. When you can collaborate to extract the best of both cultures so you can be nimble yet resilient, good at risk taking & risk management, that is where the magic happens."? ?-Caribou Honig, Co-Founder & Chairman, InsureTech Connect? ? Insurance has many barriers to change, yet several carriers are doing it.? Read their stories in my new book, "The Future of Insurance: From Disruption to Evolution?"
