Returned home after a successful couple of days performing final acceptance testing on this impressive 1MN fatigue machine. Based near Munich, the customers application for this system is the testing of pre-stressed steels and post failure analysis of failed civil structures. The system is fully EN ISO 13849-1 compliant, achieving a safety performance level of d (Pld) in all operating modes, this was verified by an external safety audit performed as part of the acceptance tests. The project was managed from order acceptance through to dispatch by Sean Browns team at High Wycombe and the challenging installation performed by Instron Germanys team, Georg Jung & Christian Kufs. Part of the order included the refurbishment of the customers existing 40 year old grips, they have been impressed by the reliability and performance of the grips over the years and decided not to replace them. Although the primary use of this machine will be fatigue testing using Instron's Wavematrix software it also performs static tests very well with the Automatic Video Extensometer and BlueHill Universal Software. #Instron #Fatigue #HighForce
