At InStride, we have been fortunate to work with many companies across the growing HealthTech industry which is approaching $775 billion! But....who will power its future? By 2035, we’ll be short 12.9 million health workers including a growing demand for skilled tech talent. This is a problem in itself, but when you consider the following two data trends, it could be a huge, industry wide concern: ?? 87% of companies say they are experiencing a skills gap today or will be in the near future ?? 67% of employees say it’s likely they’ll leave their employer due to a lack of skill-building opportunities Next week at SXSW EDU, I’ll be speaking with Maria Flynn of Jobs for the Future (JFF), Carol O'Donnell of Smithsonian Science Education Center (SSEC), and the incredible Dr. Sally Saba MBA of Medtronic / Medtronic Foundation about real solutions—from skills-based hiring to STEM scholarships - to help solve real problems.
