Here are three strategies to guide you: Create or review class agreements for respectful conversations across the political spectrum. Practice with check-ins like, “On a scale of 1-10, how much is election news affecting your personal life, and why?” Remind students of the resources available when big feelings arise—cool-off corners, advisors, school counselors, or assignment extensions can help students navigate these emotions.
