We're very happy to announce our latest publication in the research area of Process Analytical Technology (PAT) under the supervision of D?rte Solle. Phil Thiel and coworkers published their results with the title 'Development of a novel disposable flowcell for spectroscopic bioprocess monitoring'. The developed BioFlowCell enables the integration of spectroscopic measurements into modern disposable bioreactors and is universally applicable, representing a significant advancement in real-time monitoring of critical bioprocess?parameters. Congratulations to this excellent work! ?? https://lnkd.in/dZNa88pj

Congratulations to Jannik Richter! ?? Jannik defended his PhD thesis entitled 'Optimization and digitalization of a CHO cell culture process for recombinant mAb production' on Tuesday, 04. March 2025. His research was about the application of new machine learning tools and bioprocess modelling to improve productivity of CHO cells. We wish you all the best in Ulm! ?? Thank you also to the assessment committee! ??

Thanks to everyone who has been involved in the design of our DECADES video to share our scientific approach to the use of deep eutectic solvents in biocatalytic processes...Stay tuned for our results...more to come. https://lnkd.in/dsY_8RjT
Our team has been busy and has now published the second HorizonDECADES video. While the first video was envisioned as an introduction to the DECADES consortium, in this second video we had three main objectives: 1. To communicate our research objectives in a more focused manner. 2. To focus on the doctoral candidates. 3. To evoke the team spirit that has risen within the consortium. Do you think we managed to show off our students as much as they deserve? Secondly, we are putting emphasis on “how†we aim to achieve our vision by using different biocatalytic methods and materials. Bumbuku Creatives created the script and the scenes of the animation accordingly and we think they nailed it again! Let us know if you love the video as much as we do!? Big thank you to Bumbuku Creatives for this great animation! This is a present from all of us to all of you! If you want to talk to the involved PIs and Doctoral candidates you can meet us all at the #IBPRO2025 symposium taking place in Aarhus (and worldwide online) from 26th-28th of March ! Find out more about IBPRO2025 here: https://lnkd.in/dJ_A28JE PhD candidates: Katerina Margariti, Ariel T., Marina Grgi?, KatarÃna Kav?iaková, Chiara Falcini; Francesco Napoletano, Andrea Puglisi, Daniel Alonzo Durante Salmerón, Ivan Perkovi? and Johannes Eder #animation #whatwedo #biocatalysis #newera #EU #MSCA #HorizonDECADES #REA #ResearchImpactEU #H2021

Welcome to the official LinkedIn page of the Institute of Technical Chemistry (TCI) at Leibniz Universit?t Hannover! Led by Selin Kara, at TCI a broad range of?biotechnological research?is conducted. Currently, around 100 team members –group leaders, technicians, postdocs, doctoral candidates, BSc. and MSc. thesis students, and student helpers– are closely involved in our R&D activities and work on a wide variety of interdisciplinary and cross-sectoral research projects and cooperations between academia and industry. Our research projects are in the field of?industrial biotechnology, with a focus on biocatalysis, bioprocess technology, bioanalytics, cell culture technology, tissue engineering, bioreactor development, and respective computational applications. While a wide variety of our projects are purely fundamental research, the TCI regularly also has application-oriented collaborations with industrial partners reaching from start-ups to large enterprises.
