This article on Talking Joints Memo is worth a second look after the vote to extend the Delivery Exclusivity Period on March 13th. https://lnkd.in/epCAvw9T The Cannabis Control Commission held a Listening Session on December 11th of last year that included testimony from Shaleen Title. A report of her testimony appeared in TJM: "Instead, she pointed to parameters designed for the CCC’s Delivery Exclusivity Working Group to use in 'assessing and proposing changes.' Members are tasked with: 'Monitoring overall participation from communities disproportionately impacted by cannabis prohibition; Evaluating participation specifically by people of color; and Reviewing the number and performance of delivery license holders, along with other key performance indicators.'" It's interesting that an ex-Commissioner who left before the Delivery Exclusivity Working Group was established in April 2024 could say more about the criteria for extending the period than the presentation we saw in the meeting. The original compliance COA provided by Kaycha indicates that Total Yeast & Mold was measured using PCR, while their current Scope of ISO 17025 Accreditation seems to indicate that they are only accredited to report Yeast & Mold based on plating methodologies, not by PCR. There is no indication on the COA that the PCR measurement for Yeast & Mold was reported “outside the laboratory’s scope of accreditation”. This would seem to be contradictory to the State’s requirements, as well as a violation of the requirements of the ISO 17025 standard, certified for Kaycha by Perry Johnson Laboratory Accreditation (PJLA).
