ISD is pleased to be honoring Edward Wong, a diplomatic correspondent at The New York Times. He spent ten years in China as a correspondent and Beijing Bureau Chief, and has reported from dozens of countries in his twenty years at the paper, including Afghanistan, North Korea, Saudi Arabia, Vietnam, Myanmar, Mongolia, Uganda, and Ukraine. Most recently, he is the author of "At the Edge of Empire: A Family's Reckoning with China," which he describes as "a book of memoir and reportage that tells the story of modern China."
