How do gender biases shape how we view scientists? ???? A recent study by Dr. Austin Y. Hubner and Dr. Olivia M. Bullock explored how gender impacts perceptions of likeability, competence, and trust in scientists. Here are a few key insights: ?? Likeability Boost: Female scientists were rated as more likable than their male counterparts. ?? Likeability = Competence: Higher likeability was linked to higher competence ratings. ?? Trust Advantage: Female scientists were seen as more trustworthy than male scientists. ?? Gender Preference: Participants tended to favor scientists of the opposite gender.
