The Institute for Patient-Centered Design, Inc. is a non-profit organization established to facilitate a positive patient experience by serving patients, healthcare providers and designers. Our mission is to contribute to the quality of healthcare delivery through patient-centered design advocacy, education and research. Our mission is carried out through three main service areas. 1. Provide a voice for patients seeking a more responsive built environment in a healthcare setting 2. Provide information to healthcare providers regarding the patient's expectations of a healthcare facility 3. Provide information and resources to the healthcare design community addressing the specific needs of the patients for whom they design Innovation Summit The Institute for Patient-Centered Design has opened registration for its inaugural Patient-Centered Design Innovation Summit. The Summit will take place from Sunday, September 27 until Tuesday, September 29, 2015 in Charleston, SC.
