Dear Institute for Integrative Conservation (IIC) Community: ? In the last few weeks, we have witnessed unprecedented changes in how the US federal government/Executive Branch supports people and conservation programs around the world and domestically. Many of these actions have directly affected the crucial work of our IIC partners and students. Programs have been eliminated, people have lost their livelihoods, and we are all worse for it. We also recognize that many people are more marginalized and threatened than ever. ? This is a message of support and continued hope to you, our treasured partners, students, and collaborators. The IIC is grateful for the incredible conservation work our partners are doing in Virginia and all over the world and recognize that your hard work is key to ensuring that nature, humans, and economies thrive. We are even more determined to work toward the mission of the Institute for Integrative Conservation: To empower an inclusive community of thought leaders to create and deliver timely, innovative solutions to the world's most pressing conservation challenges. ?
