IFM is honored to be receiving the "Spirit of Little Bit" award at the?The Little Bit Foundation's upcoming gala in conjunction with partner?Trudy Busch Valentine School of Nursing at Saint Louis University?as a result of the efforts of this amazing nurse practitioner: Samantha Marquard! Sam leverages her roles as an IFM Nurse Practitioner and SLU Faculty Member along with the nursing students she instructs to bring free, on-site health screenings to children in need through the Foundation's programming in local schools. The partnership between our three organizations, championed by Sam, is a great example how local organizations, institutions and health professionals can work together to get things done for those who need it in our shared community. Congratulations and Kudos to Sam and all those involved in this worthy collaboration!?

These three amazing health/social service professionals represent how partnerships between organizations are key to solving our region’s most pressing issues. IFM’s longstanding partnership with St. Louis Crisis Nursery originated when the Nursery began 38 years ago at Deaconess Hospital. Rev. Richard Ellerbrake (pictured in center) was CEO of Deaconess at the time and IFM’s CEO David Campbell, MD (left) was the Family Medicine Residency Director at the Hospital. It was Dr. Campbell’s and the resident’s interaction with the Nursery that led to IFM’s current partnership with the Nursery to provide care at each of their locations in St. Louis City, County, and St. Charles County. Molly Brown, LPC, long time employee and new CEO of the Nursery attended our Board meeting this week to talk about our shared history and her vision for the future of her organization and our partnership. Hats off to these and all the dedicated non-profit leaders serving in our region!
