23rd Annual Energy Litigation Conference - Nov. 12 ?????????????? ??????????????????: Navigating Ethical Considerations in Litigation Finance (Ethics), with Wendie Childress of Westfleet Advisors and M. Imad Khan of Winston & Strawn LLP. Register now to take advantage of early bird pricing (available through October 22): https://lnkd.in/gcYghC54 When navigated properly, litigation finance offers many benefits to clients and their counsel. But the stakes can be high and the market for funding opaque and difficult to navigate. And counsel, typically the primary recipients of funding proceeds, often face ethical conflicts when advising on litigation funding transactions. As third-party funding becomes increasingly prevalent in legal practice, it is more important than ever for practitioners to remain educated and conversant on the opportunities presented by legal finance, as well as common missteps, pitfalls, and ethics issues encountered with its use. The program will cover: ? Overview of litigation finance and its growing role in the legal industry ? Ethical rules and guidelines relevant to litigation funding arrangements ? Potential conflicts of interest and how to address them ? Maintaining client confidentiality and attorney-client privilege ? Disclosure requirements and transparency considerations ? Ethical concerns related to case control and settlement decisions ? Best practices for ethically structuring litigation finance arrangements For the full conference schedule, visit: https://lnkd.in/gJUnKdAz #2024EnergyLitigation #EnergyLaw #Litigation #Regulatory #CLE
