Hope, Grit, Determination, Faith, and the Perseverance to have a better life and to pursue Big Dreams is what I have had the honor of witnessing this past week. I was completely blown away and inspired by the resilience of Guatemalan women! ? I just returned from an incredible and life changing mission trip with Inspire Leadership Network #InspiringWomen and Convoy of Hope, where 8 of us (CIO, CISO, Exec Dir) spent 3 days in Jutiapa empowering 100+ women to break the cycle of poverty. We painted classrooms, planted gardens, built and equipped a new kitchen. They shared with us their stories and their dreams. They don’t have much, but yet they have everything. Faith, hope and heart. We then spent a day celebrating the opening of a new computer lab, a sewing room, a cooking class, an english teaching class and cosmetology skills at CADA academy in Guatemala City. CADA academy is a womens empowerment program that is offering the opportunity for 130 women to build a new life. Witnessing their determination to learn new skills and build businesses was truly humbling. These women are betting on themselves, investing in their futures, and proving that anything is possible. These women are true Wonder Women! ?? Their courage inspires me to keep pushing my own boundaries.
