In order to manage their periods safely, hygienically, with confidence, and with dignity, they rely on period friendly sanitation infrastructure. I had the opportunity to represent Inspire to Rise at Africa Skills week 2024 organized by African Union and hosted by the Government of Ghana, which was held in Accra. A Century of Menstruation: The Untold Stories Behind the Ads??? This latest study in Women's Reproductive Health conducted a longitudinal thematic analysis on 229 menstrual product advertisements from the 1920s to the 2020s. The author's findings revealed enduring themes like concealment and shame, alongside evolving elements such as idealized gender features and changing language. While some patterns persist, significant shifts reflect broader changes in women's social roles and empowerment narratives.
