Insignum AgTech’s traits detect when disease is coming nearly a week before you would actually see symptoms – an opportunity for farmers to treat with precision and before things are past a point of no return. Kyle Mohler gets into the farmer feedback surrounding the technology in action and how it serves as a decision-making tool for their operations. 关于我们
Insignum AgTech enables plants to use their pigments to talk to you. Farmers get the power to proactively optimize growth no matter which problems natures throws in the way, like diseases, insect pests, or fertility loss. Sustainably address issues that limit yields only when, where, and if needed.

Thank you AgriNovus Indiana for bringing us onto your show to highlight our technology! Excited to celebrate our wins with you! #agbioscience #biotech #agronomy
It’s estimated that disease could cost the global food system up to 20% of production and one scientist is turning to the plant itself to change that. Dr. Kyle Mohler joins us today to talk his recent win at the RALLY In-Prize Pitch Competition, his work to detect disease in plants much earlier and the Insignum AgTech’s startup journey in 2024. Thanks for supporting an excellent RALLY 2024 conference! Honored to be selected as the $1M investment prize winner for Food & Ag! We are grateful for your vote!
Addressing the challenges of global food security and sustainability in agriculture requires collaboration between groundbreaking innovators, investors and industry leaders. At the recent RALLY Innovation Conference in Indianapolis, FMC Ventures’ Managing Director, Mark S. Brooks, and Principal, Juliana Green, shared their insights on the transformative potential of AgTech.?? ? During a panel on “Food and AgTech Investing: Trends and Opportunities,” Mark discussed the economic and political trends driving food and AgTech investments. Juliana contributed to the “Feeding Consumer Demand: Health Drives the Future of Food” panel, exploring how consumer preferences are revolutionizing the agriculture industry. She also served as a judge for the Ag and Food pitch competition, where Insignum AgTech, a startup that uses gene editing to emit natural pigments that signal pest-related stress in plants, won the $1 million IN-Prize award.?? ? Juliana emphasized, “Cross-sector ideation will drive future innovation in the agriculture sector. Recent discoveries in the biotech, food and AgTech sectors will likely influence discovery and production processes for chemical and biological agricultural inputs. Conferences like RALLY Innovation are a great forum for FMC Ventures to discuss new concepts with different types of investors and entrepreneurs.”? ?? #FMCVentures #RALLY2024 #Innovation #Sustainability #AgTech???

?? Congrats to Insignum AgTech for winning the Ag & Food section of the RALLY pitch competition! The company, which started as an idea while founder and CEO Kyle Mohler was a Purdue postdoc, is creating seed gene editing tech that allows crops to use their pigments to “talk” about their specific problems. #Rally2024 #PurdueInnovates #AgTech

Thank you to everyone who participated in making our Field Demo Day a success this week! Our tech showed up too - plants were talking to us by changing color. We saw some mature disease and some immature infections that were only revealed by purple color. Although it's too early to see symptoms of stem diseases, our plants revealed pathogens starting to colonize and weaken stems too. A panel of experts, including Dave Chance from C&H Farm, Kyle Long from Taranis, and Ryan Ekland from Keystone Cooperative, helped us discuss why Insignum's tech will provide significant value to their operations. Thank you for sharing! We had a great crowd out to Dulls Tree Farm, thank you Kerry and Tom Dull!

You're Invited to Insignum's Field Day! Insignum plants send farmers early signs of disease pressure by turning purple when pathogens infect – as many as 10 days before the disease becomes visible. Now growers can rapidly and confidently fight disease when, where, and only if needed. No current seed technology can detect diseases as early or as accurately.?Come hear about last year’s exciting results from our testing collaboration with Beck’s Hybrids. In the middle of our 4th year of field testing, see the industry’s newest decision ag solution in action. Join us on August 20 in central Indiana. Visit our registration page to sign up: https://bit.ly/4doQO17 We look forward to seeing you there!
