Which is better - Enterprise or Startup? Don't join until you read this! Enterprises provide structure, support, and guardrails. You are limited in what you can do, and how much experimentation they allow. You need to play office politics to move up or get a project approved. Pressure is typically lower. Job security is generally better (but these days...who knows). Startups provide little structure and minimal support They give you the freedom to work on many things that you would never get to in a larger company. Communication is tight in a small company. You move fast. Pressure is high, but so are the rewards. Everyone gives 110%, and it's very obvious if you are holding back. I am thrilled to be at Tobiko. The talent is incredible. The product is disruptive. The SQLMesh community is ?? Which type of company do you work for? ?? like and repost!

95% of analysts ignore window functions - but they’re a game-changer. Here’s 3 ways pro analysts use them: 1) RANK() to flag top performers without subqueries 2) LAG() to track trends row-by-row 3) SUM() OVER for instant running totals. One query with these cut my report time by 40%. Stop sleeping on them! Ready to learn? My computer rebooted 2 MINUTES BEFORE A 2000 PERSON PRESENTATION!!! ?? Chaos is constant in the life of a speaker. What did I do? * Messaged the conference organizer to stall while I reconsidered my life decisions. * Grabbed another laptop and started it up. * Logged into the conference and started speaking with the audience while I reviewed my deck on the other monitor. * Gave an overview of the talk and background when I realized part of my deck was missing. I connected my iPad to screenshare so that I could draw the missing diagrams. The audience surprisingly LOVED this. * Presented as normal, hand drew the missing slides in front of the audience (charged them extra for admission to see the best artist in the world ??) Conversations are dynamic. Sometimes the best moments are unplanned! ?? What are your "presentation chaos" stories? #datastorytelling #presentation #speaking
