He earned his Ph.D. in Medicinal Chemistry from the Dipartimento di Chimica industriale - Università di Bologna and gained research experience at The Scripps Research Institute in the U.S. He has held key roles at the Istituto Italiano di Tecnologia (IIT) and Heptares Theraputics, and co-founded BiKi Technologies, specializing in computational drug discovery solutions. With over 50 published studies, four patents, and certifications from EPFL and MISB Bocconi School of Management, Prof. Bottegoni brings a wealth of expertise to Insight Scientific Board. Challenges remain in healthcare equity and expanding educational campaigns about the importance of regular screenings.
