关于我们
Insight Recovery Centers is an Intensive Outpatient Program that was developed by licensed, credentialed, expert therapists. IRC's mission is to restore balance to those affected by substance use and mental health disorders through evidence-based outpatient treatment. We value integrity, professionalism and collaboration and integrate high quality behavioral health care for adults and their support systems by experienced professionals. We recognize that getting betters is not just about abstinence but sustained improvement in different areas of life. IRC embraces harm reduction strategies, like alcohol moderation, and self-assessment on the spectrum of substance use to provide the right level of treatment.

Could a popular diabetes medication help treat alcohol use disorder? A new study published in JAMA Psychiatry suggests that semaglutide—the active ingredient in Ozempic—may significantly reduce alcohol cravings and consumption. Participants on semaglutide cut their drinking by 40% over nine weeks compared to those on a placebo. While these findings are promising, more research is needed to fully understand semaglutide’s potential in treating alcohol use disorder. At Insight Recovery Centers, we welcome any evidence-based intervention that helps people live healthier, more fulfilling lives. If you or someone you love is struggling with alcohol use, we’re here to help. ?? This isn’t just a post-pandemic issue—it’s a 60-year trend across all demographics. Americans are spending more time alone than ever, with face-to-face socializing at historic lows. This fascinating article from The Atlantic discusses how: Cars privatized our lives, TVs privatized our leisure, and Smartphones now privatize our attention. Even in a crowd, we feel isolated. Group therapy isn't the answer as a society but may be an especially powerful treatment in modern times. Human connection isn't optional! https://lnkd.in/eh2GHAJM

Substance use disorders impact the brain’s chemistry and functioning, it's important to consider whatever tools are available to help those suffering. Medications for substance use disorders (like buprenorphine, methadone, or naltrexone) are scientifically proven tools that work directly on the brain to: ?? Reduce cravings ?? Ease withdrawal symptoms ?? Restore balance to brain chemistry These medications, when combined with counseling and support, offer the best chance for long-term recovery. Addiction is not a choice—it’s a medical condition. Treatment should reflect that. #EndTheStigma #MOUD #MAUD #recovery
