Let’s Talk About Air Purifiers They’re popular for a reason — HEPA filters can trap allergens, mold spores, and even some bacteria. But at Insight Property Services Inc., we know a purifier is just one piece of the puzzle. Our inspections go deeper, using the Healthy Housing Principles (HHP) to look at the entire system that impacts your indoor air quality. Keep it Ventilated – Without fresh airflow, purifiers just recirculate stale air Keep it Dry – Moisture issues lead to mold, which no purifier can fully fix Keep it Contaminant-Free – We find hidden sources like VOCs or insulation dust We don’t sell purifiers — we give you a full picture of your home’s health. Book a Healthy Home Inspection today …and breathe a little easier tomorrow.

Breathe Easier: How Indoor Plants Support Air Quality Your HVAC system isn’t the only thing working to improve the air you breathe. Common houseplants like Peace Lilies, Snake Plants, and ZZ Plants don't just add visual appeal, they help absorb airborne toxins that come from everyday materials like paint, furniture, and synthetic fabrics. Some even release oxygen at night, making them ideal bedroom companions. While houseplants aren’t a replacement for proper ventilation or filtration, they can be a powerful addition to a healthier indoor environment, especially in homes sealed tightly for energy efficiency. For a closer look at which plants can help improve air quality, read this article by Platt Hill Nursery: https://lnkd.in/g2-Ww9Wv #IndoorAirQuality #HealthyHomes #homeinspections

We’re three days into the Building Performance Conference, and here’s a glimpse of what we’ve experienced so far. Nate Natale opened the week by announcing this is the largest event to date—and even offered a few music recommendations for those exploring the city. Dr. Janell Hills-Thomas followed with an inspiring message about the purpose and impact of our work in the industry. The Insights and Impacts of Credentials: EA, QCI, and Certification Updates session featured leaders from NREL, AEE, and BPI. The panel prompted thoughtful discussion on the re-certification process, and BPI introduced a new pilot program extending EA and QCI renewals from three to five years. The trade show has been buzzing with over 60 booths—a strong reminder of the depth and diversity in the building performance community. Later in the day, Level Up Your Workforce: Boosting Capacity in Building Performance brought together speakers from across the country. Pagan Poggione of IREC showcased the Green Workforce Connect platform, a valuable resource hub for contractors and organizations in the clean energy space. Looking forward to the conversations and insights still to come.

How Seasonal Weather Impacts Your Home (and What to Do About It) Spring and summer bring sunshine, vacations, and cookouts—but also heat, humidity, and rain that can quietly wear down your home’s structure. The good news? Many seasonal issues are preventable with regular home inspections and smart maintenance. Here’s what to look out for: Roof: Check for loose shingles, clean gutters, and prevent water from creeping into your attic. Attic: Poor ventilation can trap heat and moisture—leading to mold and higher energy bills. Windows/Doors: Seal cracks to block out water, pests, and air leaks. Foundation: Inspect for even small cracks—moisture seepage can escalate quickly. Yard: Grade soil away from your home and trim dead trees before storms do it for you. Interior: Use UV film and airflow strategies to reduce heat, fading, and mold risks. Pro tip: An ounce of prevention now can save thousands later. Want a deeper dive into these tips? Read the full article, originally published by National Contractors, Inc. below, to learn how seasonal weather impacts your home and what you can do to protect it. https://lnkd.in/ghNgr7TW Need a professional eye on your property?
