Microsoft Windows 10 will reach end of support on Oct. 14, 2025 What does this mean in general? - Microsoft will no longer provide bug fixes for issues, security fixes for vulnerabilities, time zone updates, or technical support for problems that might occur on Windows 10 computers. What should I do to prepare? - Collect an inventory of all Windows 10 machines, including hardware models and installed software. - Determine if hardware models are compatible with Windows 11. If not, work with technology partners to determine hardware refresh options to meet company standards. - On Windows 11 machines, test any critical business software for compatibility. - In organizations with IT department managed devices, discuss deployment using endpoint management systems. What if I cannot migrate to Windows 10 by Oct. 14, 2025? - Microsoft will offer “Extended Security Updates (ESU) Program” which provides critical and important level security updates. It does not extend technical support or include any new features. - ESU is not free. The price will double every consecutive year, for a maximum of three years. If you decide to jump into the program in Year Two, you'll have to pay for Year One too, as ESUs are cumulative. What services can Insequence Inc. provide to support you during this transition?
