We're so excited to see this HydroXS energy recovery system being built at our facility in Houston for SkagitPUD. Great collaboration between InPipe, Cla-val and Grundfos to support Skagit's goal of being more efficient, sustainable and resilient for its customers in Mount Vernon, Washington. This HydroXS is the second for SkagitPUD and will be used to power EV chargers at Mount Vernon High School from otherwise wasted energy in the flow of the City's water pipelines. Shout out to the City of Aurora, Colorado for installing the first HydroXS, energy recovery system in Colorado. This HydroXS replaced an existing Pressure Reducing Valve (PRV) with InPipe’s HydroXS. Now, instead of managing water flow and pressure at this location with a traditional control valve, excess pressure is converted into a new source of electricity. Electricity that is fed back to the grid where it is monetized and reinvested by the water department to benefit their customers.
