Alison Crowe, MBA and I appear to be marching to the same drum beat. I, too, am extremely passionate about the importance of getting winemaking involved in winery finance. Alison not only addresses this in her article but offers actionable takeaways that everyone that works in any department at a winery should read. So, please go do that. I presented to Sonoma County Vintners last week on a similar topic and InnoVint's benchmark report on winery health (linked in comments), reminding winery leadership that empowering winemaking with financial oversight only helps their bottom line.
