How can the process of imagining and designing experiences of alternative futures (“experiential futures”) can deepen a learner's appreciation of complex problems and increase their sense of agency? Using climate change as the focal theme, a panel discussion will examine ways of supporting constructive change and action. A playful, hands-on experiential futures / speculative design exercise will challenge and enable participants to imagine – and start to bring to life – possible worlds to come. ??? One of the benefits of being located in Kendall Square the "Most Innovative Square Mile on the Planet,” is the ability to engage with folks literally living on the cutting edge of design, science, and technology.??A few days ago, Innovators for Purpose's Innovators had the opportunity to meet Jenna Fizel, Managing Director and Global Head of IDEO’s Emerging Technology group. Jenna walked the team through the design process with examples of IDEO projects using emerging technologies including Gen AI, AR, VR, and robotics, which our Innovators use at iFp.??As always, a talk with iFp is not complete without many questions. #NextGenInnovators #EmergingTechnology

With each graduating iFp class, new leaders step up. We were excited to see Abdullahi, a 10th grader, stepping into a leadership role. He brought great insight to the Level Up Game Design discussion at MIT. The proud smile on Frank Pinto, iFp’s Lead CS instructor, says it all. At iFp, we are developing “Innovators for Purpose”—leaders who drive transformative change, shaping both their futures and the communities they serve.

You’ll also have a chance to learn about and help test our latest game, “Uncover,” designed to inspire middle school students to pursue careers in the innovation economy.

Our first graduating class, the iFp Class of 2021, will soon be transitioning from college to exciting careers in the innovation economy.
