Their website offers copies of well know #TCCC #EMS products such as the North American Rescue, LLC CAT Tourniquet used by US military and law enforcement(Links below). This company is suspected by the US Government, U.S. Department of State – Bureau of Economic and Business Affairs, Office of the Director of National Intelligence, Senator Gary Peters and the US Department of Homeland Security to be actively engaged in stealing proprietary information and using it to assist in creating counterfeit products for export: https://lnkd.in/enwPvUeD Counterfeit medical products pose serious risks to public safety and undermine trust in our industry. Hemorrhage is the number one cause of death in traumatic injuries. Pre-hospital blood transfusions, like those needed and done in the field after a missile, strike, have the highest impact on mortality within the first 30 minutes after injury1. For first responders heading to recent strike zones like Poltava and Lviv, such as emergency personnel in the State Emergency Service of Ukraine (SESU), having the advanced training and proper equipment for life-saving blood transfusion is necessary to help them move fast and confidently. There are 190 members of SESU awaiting training for pre-hospital blood transfusions. GRM is working to expedite these trainings and ensure the availability of necessary transfusion equipment. With the increase of missile strikes across Ukraine, time is critical. We have already secured a matching grant for $75K towards the total if raised in the next 30 days. A standard roll of gauze can hold ~500cc of blood. Does your method for checking a pressure dressing involve squeezing it to see if it is saturated with blood? If so...go back and read the top line again!! Great insights from The Raytom Group L.L.C. on wound packing! It’s like watching a tutorial on YouTube and then trying to execute it on your own - everything is "easy" until you actually try to do it. Placing packing material firmly against the bleeder and securing a pressure dressing that holds during movement is a critical skill that only hands-on practice can perfect. One approach we recommend is combining wound packing with the iTClamp. It creates a secure seal, holding pressure even with movement, which eliminates bleed-through and provides immediate visual feedback instead of relying on a soaked-through pressure dressing. The proper packing of wounds is crucial in trauma care and can be the deciding factor between life and death. This method involves more than simply stuffing the wound. The focus is on packing it carefully and strategically to stop severe bleeding effectively. Here’s a tip from our training: ?? Don’t blindly stuff gauze into the wound. Instead, use hemostatic gauze (like Celox) on your fingertip, carefully placing it directly on the wound site to activate the agent. Hold for a few seconds, then gradually withdraw your finger while adding more hemostatic gauze. This method ensures optimal contact and clotting where it’s needed most. We’re supporting development of tranexamic acid (TXA) in intramuscular (IM) formulation from MACH32 to potentially treat uncontrolled hemorrhage under our RePAIR program.? During a mass casualty incident, people will have traumatic injuries, including internal bleeding. TXA prevents blood clots from being broken down, which slows the bleeding until the patient can be fully treated. TXA is currently FDA-approved in intravenous formulation, which is more challenging to use in the pre-hospital space and in emergency situations. In IM form, TXA could be administered faster. If successful, TXA could be integrated into routine emergency care for traumatic injuries. This would allow EMS and first responders to be more familiar with the product, and ensure the treatment is immediately available during emergencies, so patients can be treated quicker and more effectively.
