Wisconsin municipalities and tribes with a population not exceeding 5,000 can apply for funds to develop a community plan that transfers one or more services to another entity and realize future cost savings. Services include public safety, fire protection, EMS, training, communications, public works, information technology, administration staffing, economic development, tourism, and more! Press Release (February 4, 2025): Jay Shambeau, ICMA-CM, MPA, and Jess Wildes, MPA, are pleased to announce the launch of Innovative Public Advisors (IPA), a public sector executive recruitment and strategy firm. IPA’s mission is to empower and equip municipalities with innovative solutions that strengthen leadership, enhance operations and communications, and positively impact communities. IPA offers a comprehensive collection of services tailored to the unique needs of public sector municipal organizations and professionals. These services include executive recruitment, professional coaching, grant writing, governance training, communications and strategic plan development, and other special projects. IPA supports municipalities in navigating complex challenges, locating top talent, and developing actionable plans. “We understand the unique challenges faced by local governments today,” said Shambeau. “Our goal at IPA is to be a trusted partner to municipalities, providing them with the tools, strategies, and leadership they need to succeed.” Jess Wildes, co-founder of IPA, adds, “We are passionate about building lasting relationships with local government leaders, providing practical, forward-thinking innovative solutions.
