As part of Global Entrepreneurship week held in #mahama, 150 #entrepreneurs attended an investment pitch event yesterday. and 37 out 40 clients pitched their business ideas. 37 got their business approved for investments with an estimated amount of 28Million RWF. These investments focused on idea-stage, youth, and women. Benon Odora Orach, #UNHCR Representative in #Mahama refugee camp, who attended some of the pitches was impressed by how these entrepreneurs presented their business ideas. He added on the importance of grabbing the learning opportunities like those provided by INKOMOKO , especially as UNHCR faces declining support from donors over time. Before the pitching, we also held a session to guide all entrepreneurs on preparing business financials, on how to organize necessary documents, and effectively presenting their ideas to any financial institutions. BKFoundation__ supports local entrepreneurs who tackle social, financial, and environmental challenges with creativity and resilience. 12 entrepreneurs pitched their innovative ideas, seeking zero-interest loans from Bank of Kigali Plc. These loans would allow them scale their businesses. After a 6-month incubation with INKOMOKO , these finalists showcased refined growth strategies.
