Remer-based Northland Area Family Service Center (NAFSC) became a Diaper Bank Minnesota distribution site in early 2024. The diapers and other baby-care products, which will benefit families in need, have to be stored, organized, distributed and tracked—all of which comes with a price in staff time. The NAFSC's efforts were buoyed this summer when they received a $25,000 grant from the Initiative Foundation to support the diaper bank program. This grant, plus grants to 18 other organizations totaling $750,000, were distributed by the Initiative Foundation with support from the Otto Bremer Trust. When you give to the Initiative Foundation, you ensure Central Minnesota communities have the funding, tools and resources to build thriving economies and healthy communities for years to come. Every gift helps us deliver grants, programs, trainings, and free resources that empower people across our region to build prosperous futures. Take David and Natalie, who partnered with the Initiative Foundation to bring their vision for a campground to life. Today, In the Woods Campground near Walker offers 40 scenic campsites along with hiking trails, a sand volleyball court, and a playground. Their dream transformed into a community gathering spot, which is also boosting the local economy. Your support will make a meaningful impact. Give today: ifound.org/ways-to-give/
