Posting: The Ingham County Health Department (ICHD) is searching for a talented and motivated individual to join the organization in the full-time Disease Control Lead Nurse role! ? This position serves as the lead nurse in the Communicable Disease Control unit, providing coordination and direction for the Disease Control staff and procedures. ? In general, our Disease Control Lead Nurse will be responsible for: -Providing leadership for Disease Control staff members; -Developing and updating Disease Control protocols and procedures; -Monitoring and tracking Disease Control data and statistics; and -Collaborating with relevant internal and external stakeholders to identify and address community disease control needs ? Benefits, Compensation, and Salary: -Annual salary starting at $68,792.79 ranging to $82,597.43 -Vacation time at a starting earned rate of 2.769 hours per 2-week pay period (72 hours/9 days per year) -Sick time at starting earned rate of 3.69 hours per 2-week pay period (105 hours/13 days per year) -15 paid annual holidays -40 working hours per week (Monday-Friday, typically between 7:30am-6pm) -This position may be eligible for a hybrid schedule with both in-person and remote work occurring on a weekly basis after 6 months of employment. The position will not be fully remote. -Low-cost health insurance (PHP) starting the first day of the first full month of employment -No-cost vision and dental insurance beginning 6 months after start of employment ? Position Qualifications: -A Bachelor's degree in Nursing (preferred), Public Health, Healthcare, or related field; and -3 years of professional experience, preferably in a communicable disease control program or healthcare setting. Previous supervisory or team lead experience is highly preferred ?
