This type of encouragement can help someone who may truly need a boost of positivity and kindness. Encouragement in the workplace can be essential to success, especially when noticing that a co-worker has done their job well. Offering kind words or helpful tips to a coworker can motivate that person to work even harder and feel valued. Supervisors and leaders should always be looking for ways they can encourage, affirm, recognize, and value their team. Giving praise and encouragement is good practice, no matter the day of the year. According to the CDC, six in ten adults in the U.S. live with a chronic disease, and four in ten adults suffer from more than one chronic disease. Chronic diseases are responsible for 7 in 10 deaths in the U.S. each year. Through awareness and education, Chronic Disease Day helps lower preventable illnesses, advance access to care for unpreventable conditions, and build healthier communities. This day is important to our team because we provide infusion therapies with clinical management oversight to patients with chronic conditions.
