Towards supporting the underprivileged, creating opportunities, and striving towards a more equitable society.

关于我们

Since 1996, Infosys Foundation has been trying to make communities and individuals stand on their feet. From helping communities affected by natural disasters, constructing toilets and building libraries for village schools, providing succor to Devadasi women, to donating funds for cancer treatment, scientific research and mid-day meals – if there is a worthy cause in sight, the Foundation is always there to support it. We take great pride in working with all sections of society, selecting projects with infinite care, and working in areas that traditionally overlooked by society at large. With a focus on the most remote regions of India, our initiatives span the areas of education, healthcare, women empowerment, and environmental sustainability, amongst others.

Over 65% of India’s population lives in rural areas, yet majority of #healthcare infrastructure remains urban-focused, leaving rural residents with limited access to primary centers and hospitals. Sunil Kumar Dhareshwar, Trustee, Infosys Foundation, highlights how the Foundation is addressing these gaps. By training healthcare workers to support mental health for mothers and child development, and by building state-of-the-art infrastructure, the Foundation is working to improve access to essential medical care. The 100-bed Maternal and Childcare Hospital in Kanakapura stands as a significant effort, providing critical healthcare services to underserved communities in Karnataka. Additionally, the Empower Programme focuses on enhancing maternal mental health and early childhood development in Madhya Pradesh. Meanwhile, the Akshita Programme ensures vital healthcare access for over 1,12,000 women and children annually also in Madhya Pradesh. Through these initiatives, the Foundation is focused on enhancing healthcare access, aiming to make quality healthcare a reality for underserved populations in India’s most remote and rural regions. #InfosysFoundation | #InfosysCSR | #WomenEmpowerment

Education holds the power to change lives, to uplift, and to empower. With this belief, our DC CSR group from Thiruvananthapuram, Sanjeevani, embarked on a mission to bring the joy of learning to underprivileged students. Our volunteers came together, crafting science models designed to make #education more engaging and interactive. These models were created to spark curiosity, allowing young minds to connect theory with practice and experience the wonders of science firsthand. This initiative aims to ensure that a lasting interest in science is ignited within these students. Today, our volunteers provide the models with the hope that in the future, young students will create their own learning models themselves, propelling their learning to new heights. #InfosysFoundation | #InfosysCSR | #Volunteering | #Science

  • Across India's diverse landscapes, from the flowing movements of Kalbeliya dancers in the West to the rhythmic devotion of Dhunuchi in the East, and from the energetic Gidda of the North to the vivid Huli Vesha of the South, folk and tribal culture reveal a rich diversity. Each form, unique in its expression, shares a common thread: a deep connection to nature and time-honored traditions. For years, these art forms faced a slow fade, obscured by neglect and a lack of awareness. #InfosysFoundation, aligning with its commitment to preserving India's heritage, partnered with Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan to present 'Kala Dhwani: Echoes of India's Art.' This three-day festival in Bengaluru aimed to bring these lesser-known art forms closer to a wider audience. #KalaDhwani showcased the diversity of India's folk and tribal music, dance, art, puppetry, textiles, and cuisines. Over 800 artists from Karnataka, Odisha, Punjab, Rajasthan, and West Bengal participated, presenting more than 60 art forms. The event provided an opportunity to experience the breadth of India's traditional arts. Here’s a glimpse into the event. #ArtandCulture

Today, on #WorldWildlifeDay, we celebrate a remarkable milestone in conservation.?This year, Odisha’s Rushikulya beach witnessed an extraordinary sight?- 6.5 lakh Olive Ridley turtles nesting, marking the highest count of these sea turtles in two years. ? Despite protection under India’s Wildlife Protection Act, 1972, the hatchlings of these ancient mariners face immense challenges - predation, trampling, or losing their way inland. With just 1 in 1,000 surviving to adulthood, their existence is precarious. ? To safeguard these vulnerable turtles and maintain ecological balance, #InfosysFoundation partnered with the World Wide Fund (WWF) in 2015. Measures such as fencing nesting areas, patrolling during the critical 50–60-day incubation period, and engaging with local communities have struck the balance between conservation and livelihoods. ? Through collaborative efforts with the government, coastal communities, and charitable organizations, a record-breaking number of turtles have nested, showcasing a harmonious coexistence between locals and these extraordinary creatures. This effort ensures the Olive Ridley turtles continue to thrive undisturbed for generations to come. ? #InfosysCSR | #OliveRidley | #Conservation | #EnvironmentalSustainability

  • Timely #blooddonation can be life-saving, making it crucial to raise awareness and provide opportunities for people to contribute. Our DC CSR group, Sanjeevani, organized a blood donation camp at the Thiruvananthapuram campus in partnership with the Sree Chithira Thirunal hospital's blood bank. This quarterly initiative helps maintain critical blood reserves for emergencies and promotes awareness amongst donors. 65+ volunteers worked together to ensure the success of the drive. In total, 51 blood donations were received, which can support 153 individuals in need. The team also addressed common concerns about blood donation by educating donors on the safety of the process, highlighting the profound impact of their contribution, thereby encouraging more people to participate. #InfosysFoundation, along with our volunteers, donors, and partners, demonstrate that collective action can create a lasting impact. #InfosysCSR | #CommunityImpact | #Volunteering

  • Access to quality maternal and newborn health services is crucial to reducing preventable neonatal and infant deaths. According to the Economic Survey 2023-2024, India has made significant progress with institutional delivery rates rising from 38% in 2005 to 89% in 2019-21. However, more efforts are needed to bridge the healthcare gap and ensure access to critical care during the crucial early hours of life. #InfosysFoundation, in partnership with C-CAMP, launched Project Early Life, a four-year initiative driving advancements in maternal, newborn, and child #healthcare within Karnataka’s public health facilities. By deploying innovative technologies like Saans, a portable CPAP device, and Fetal Lite, an AI-powered fetal heart rate monitor, the project strengthens public healthcare systems and equips health workers with essential tools and training. Dr. Taslimarif Saiyed, Director and CEO of Centre for Cellular and Molecular Platforms (C-CAMP), emphasizes that leveraging indigenous advanced technology is vital to making quality healthcare more affordable and accessible, particularly for underserved mothers and their newborns. With the potential to benefit over 50,000 pregnant women and nearly 5,000 newborns, this partnership aims to transform care and create healthier futures for marginalized communities. #InfosysCSR | #MaternalHealth | #ChildHealth
