The countdown to the annual INFORMS Analytics+ conference is an exciting time of the year. Yes, I'm speaking again but my love for the event comes from getting to meet and learn from the elite of problem solving. It. is. euphoric. The INFORMS Podcast, #ResoundinglyHuman, interviews each of the Franz Edelman Award finalists and this interview with the Luftansa team really landed for me. They, like the other teams, used advanced analytics techniques to solve a gnarly, high-impact real world problem. The beautiful thing is that the list of techniques and tools they are largely unknown to AI obsessionists. Take a moment to give the linked episode a listen and review the list of the contenders.
