[Rutger's Reflection] We are still early days in the adoption of GenAI in Financial Services but we are starting to see shift from just experimentation to getting ROI from GenAI implementations. This has created four stages Financial Institutions are in with regards to GenAI: 1. Leaders in the industry have been generating real ROI from their GenAI implementations creating a competitive advantage 2. Followers who are still in experimentation mode and are not getting the ROI (yet) and are falling behind the leaders in the industry with more pressure to find ROI 3. Laggards are still on the sideline trying to figure out how to start experimenting with GenAI held back by fear or confusion or both 4. Then there is the group that hasn't event started to think about experimenting with GenAI based on the state their data and systems are in Based on these four states of GenAI maturity you should identify which group you are in and what the required next steps are to get to the next phase.
