5 minute speed modeling of a Scrub Daddy, Inc. in Onshape, a PTC Technology. I prefer to have a #CAD model of all parts that I'm using while designing products instead of basing them off measured dimensions. Adding the parts into assemblies helps for visualization and to ensure there are no interferences with parts. Dimensional #tolerances for a sponge will probably be pretty bad, +/- 3mm dry and +/- 6mm when wet? Is this a thing?

I rip on Apple often for various reasons (forced upgrade cycles, greenwashing, walled garden etc) but this is pretty interesting. This new adhesive can be removed with an electric current, making it easier to remove or replace batteries. Design for repairability is typically an afterthought and takes the back seat to form factor, battery size, and cost. It's still no Fairphone but it's a tiny bit better
