It’s that time of year again. Fantasy Football (FFB) for the 2024-2025 Season is in full swing and Infinity’s two Division (Innovators & Creators) half PPR league is through Week 1. Things we learned in Week 1 include: ??Draft Order doesn’t = fantasy success ??Starting multiple rookies in suspect offenses is fun to watch…for one’s opponent ??Don’t underestimate fantasy football neophytes* Speaking of FFB newbies, meet Anna Ferguson our ’24-’25 Week 1 GM AND Trash Talker of the Week. Anna led ??HereInAllenTown?? to the largest margin of victory of any team in Week 1. She boldly chose to start two Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receivers out of what one can only assume is clairvoyance and enjoyed watching WR1 Mike Evans and WR2 Chris Godwin eat at a table of plenty scoring 20.6 and 18.3 points in their season debut. Anna’s top performer of the week was Buffalo Bills one-man offense led by elite QB Josh Allen and his 36.5 points. Anna’s surprise of the week was New England Patriots running back and Anna's FLEX play, Rhamondre Stevenson, who muscled 120 yards and a touchdown against the asleep-at-the-wheel Cincinnati Bengals scoring 19.1 points and beating his projected output by nearly double. Anna’s opponent for Week 1, Erick Van Dam, gave his players the week off. Heeding Erick’s words, “play like this is a hobby and not a job,” four players scored under 9 points with three of those players scoring 6.2 points or less. Gross right? Maybe next time Erick will give a Van Dam. Congrats on GM of the Week, Anna!

Dr. David Hillstrom is promoted to Branch Lead | Engineering and Analysis! David has been a valuable member of our team for the last year and has continually demonstrated dedication and expertise as Simulation Scientist. David has consistently delivered outstanding results and achieved significant milestones while at Infinity Labs?, including being the sole executer on an AFSIM uncertainty modeling effort as well as writing and winning SBIRs. Dr. Hillstrom's professionalism and innovative problem solving will undoubtedly contribute to branch growth and success now and into the future. Jonathan Thompson, Ph.D. is promoted to Senior Simulation Scientist | Advanced R&D! Jon is a thoughtful and impactful member of our team and has been for the past 2 ? years. During this time as a Simulation Scientist, Dr. Thompson demonstrated a superior ability to seek out problems worth solving and skillfully developing marketable solutions to address them. Jon delivers outstanding results and has achieved significant milestones including writing and winning SBIRs/STTRs and executing IRAD concepts. While leading multiple SBIR efforts, Jon strives to produce exceptional technical work while mentoring teammates. Dr. Thompson's drive to deeply understand complex problems and think innovatively will undoubtedly contribute to R&D growth and success in his new role.

PROMOTION ALERT! Colten Spencer is an all star. He blooms wherever he is planted and bets on himself. He's exactly the type of teammate that Infinity Labs? wants building capability as a Modeling and Simulation Specialist in Colorado Springs. Rob joined Infinity Labs in November of 2023 as a Cyber Security Engineer, and quickly demonstrated his fearless adaptability and leadership skills by guiding the cyber analysis team through the early stages of framework development. Rob then stepped up to Deputy Branch Lead, learning the ropes of mentoring and management at Infinity Labs while forging possibilities by coordinating mitigation activities amongst?while simultaneously and integrating new simulation capabilities into the company’s cyber toolkit. Rob’s exceptional work ethic, wealth of experience, and dedication will enable him to guide the Cyber Branch to thrive together under his leadership. ? Congratulations Colten and Rob!
