> read leaflet [reason: I want to see what's inside the leaflet and maybe it'll give me some clue or hint about what to do next.] "WELCOME TO ZORK! ZORK is a game of adventure, danger, and low cunning. In it you will explore some of the most amazing territory ever seen by mortals. No computer should be without one!" Our developers are exploring AI tools, and Toby recently showed us how he teaches llama3 to play Zork. His approach is structured yet flexible, guiding the LLM through the game's complexities. First, Toby informs the LLM it is playing an interactive fiction game, setting the context. Next, he instructs it to generate the next move. He provides starting verbs like "go," "take," "look," and "use," but clarifies these are not the only options. The LLM's response is a JSON object with a verb, an optional noun, and a reason for the move. For example: { "verb": "take", "noun": "lamp", "reason": "It's dark and I need a light source to see." } Including the most recent game log helps the LLM make informed decisions. This method combines structured guidance with contextual awareness, testing the LLM's understanding of narrative and problem-solving in dynamic environments. There are many ways to add complexity, but this was a fun way to dive into llama3’s capabilities!

We are Infinity. We are technical but not typical. We might be new to you, but we’re not new to this. Est. 1998. We are expert generalists. We are proud polyglots. We are nimble craftspeople. We’ve worked with everybody, from the giants of their industry to the aspiring startups. We work just as well from a sketch on an airport napkin as we do from your hundred page BRDs. We like pretty but prefer effective. We like features but prefer function. We like clients but prefer partners. We do apps. (Of course we do apps!) And sites. RWD, CMS, REST, all the, well, rest. We write specs, too. We hire smart people, often from the Open Source world, and get out of their way. (And we encourage them to contribute back to Open Source.) We are the partner you want to keep.

One use-case for custom Large Language Model (LLM) AIs is monitoring and summarizing logs from high-volume, complex server-side applications. While effective, it requires logs to be generated and accessible. Sumo Logic is one powerful tool for collecting and processing log data. Our engineers have leveraged it and similar tools for years to help clients optimize their systems. Often those tools are already set up by our clients' DevOps teams, but what if you are starting from the ground up? Our senior developer Jay recently demonstrated to the rest of us how easy it is to get started with Sumo Logic by setting up a new instance to monitor his computer's state. After setting up the account, he used the Sumo Logic Collector application to gather system data and send it to the cloud for analysis. Sumo Logic's App Catalog offers pre-built apps and dashboards for various use cases, including system monitoring, making it easy to get started without building everything from scratch. Getting started with Sumo Logic is quick and easy, and from there to monitoring complex web application logs we can configure multiple data sources, create custom dashboards, and set up advanced alerts. Regardless of the complexity of your infrastructure or applications, we understand the critical importance of accessible logging. With our deep understanding of tools like Sumo Logic, we are well-prepared to assist you in effectively monitoring and responding to your dynamic environment.
