ATTENTION ASPIRING ENTREPRENEURS: IMS CEO, Lisa Coker, was asked by the Dayton Area Chamber of Commerce what advice she would give entrepreneurs just starting out. Her answers may inspire you! #entreprenuers #entrepreneurship #TeamIMS
?? November is National Entrepreneurship Month! Sponsored by Winsupply. To celebrate, we are featuring some notable entrepreneurs in the Dayton region.?? Lisa Coker is the CEO of Infinite Management Solutions, LLC. When asked, 'What advice would you give to aspiring entrepreneurs?' She responded: "In my experience as a business owner/entrepreneur, I would advise aspiring entrepreneurs to do the following: ? Leverage Your Unique Strengths: Your background and experiences are your unique selling points. Use them to differentiate yourself in the market. ? Do Your Research: Understand your industry, target audience, and competitors. This knowledge will help you identify opportunities and avoid common pitfalls. ? Start Small, Think Big: Begin with a manageable scope and scale up as you gain more experience and resources. This approach helps mitigate risks and allows for sustainable growth. ? Build a Strong Network: Connect with other business owners, mentors, and industry experts. Their insights and support can be invaluable. ? Stay Resilient and Adaptable: Entrepreneurship is a journey with ups and downs. Stay resilient, learn from setbacks, and be ready to adapt to changing circumstances. ? Focus on Quality and Customer Service: Deliver high-quality products or services and prioritize excellent customer service. Happy customers are your best advocates. ? Embrace Technology: Utilize digital tools and platforms to streamline operations, reach a wider audience, and stay competitive. ? Seek Support and Resources: Take advantage of resources available to veteran and woman-owned businesses, such as grants, loans, and networking opportunities. Remember, entrepreneurship is a marathon, not a sprint. Stay committed, keep learning, and don’t be afraid to ask for help when you need it."

The Second Continental Congress resolved to create two battalions of Marines on November 10, 1775. They then commissioned Samuel Nicholas as their first captain. While birthday cake is thought as a fun part of most American birthday parties, the Marines take their cake-cutting ceremony very seriously. The ceremony is considered the annual renewal of a Marine’s commitment to the Corps. Protocol calls for the first piece to be given to the Guest of Honor and the second to the eldest Marine present. The third piece is given to the youngest Marine to represent the handing down of knowledge and experience. ?????? We at IMS are very proud of our Marine Veteran teammates, Rachel Barthel and Bryan Furrey! Happy 249th birthday, Marines! #USMCBirthday #SemperFidelis #MarineCorps #TeamIMS
