Over the weekend, Allen County Farm Bureau and Whitley County Farm Bureau hosted their joint annual meeting at Kuehnert Dairy Farm. The counties had approximately 500 members RSVP for the event, which included lunch and plenty of fun on the farm. Special thanks to the Kuehnerts for providing a great venue! Allen and Whitley counties won a County Activities of Excellence award for the joint event they held last year. Yesterday, the senior members of the Young Farmers & Ag Professionals State Committee met with elected officials in Washington, D.C. The group connected with Sens. Mike Braun and Todd Young, and with Reps. Jim Banks, Erin Houchin, Greg Pence and Victoria Spartz, to discuss the need to get the farm bill passed before the end year. This morning, INFB members in Hancock County met with Jefferson Shreve, U.S. House District 6 candidate. The group was able to discuss and share insight with Shreve on several issues including the farm bill, ag labor, water quantity and more. Thank you to the Muegge family for hosting!
