I didn't want people to pity me. I waited to share my story until it "felt right" because I wanted to truly earn my way through mastering my craft, giving back, empowering others, challenging myself, getting up after failing over and over and over again and working towards a positive mindset endlessly. Being a woman is hard...trying to earn your seat as a woman..even harder. Earning your seat as woman in CX...EVEN harder. Unless you get lucky and fall into leadership that whole heartedly respects CS and women, it takes time, dedication and commitment. If you put in the work, raise your head high and keep getting up when you're pushed to the ground, you WILL succeed.
